The Hōhepa Foundation

Hōhepa is a disability service provider, catering for special needs children, and adults with an intellectual disability, where respect, personal development and caring go hand-in-hand. The Hōhepa Foundation was established as a Charitable Trust in 1990 by parents and the Hōhepa Homes Trust Board to provide additional support for Hōhepa. The Foundation trustees also support the management of individual resident trusts through its subsidiary, Hōhepa Trustees Limited.
Mark’s son Michael attended school at Hōhepa Hawkes Bay and is now a permanent resident at Hōhepa’s beautiful Poraiti property. 

Mark is the current Chair and has been a member of the Board since February 2018. In addition, Saxe Coburg provides pro-bono advice for The Foundation’s investments.

Westpac Rescue Helicopters 

The Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter, operated by the Auckland Rescue Helicopter  Trust (ARHT), provides emergency rescue and transport services across New Zealand. The Trust flies two AW169 and one BK117 helicopter, funded by the Auckland community. Saxe Coburg has been a proud corporate sponsor of ARHT since 2015, helping to keep the rescue helicopter operational 24/7, 365 days a year. 

Upside Youth Mentoring

Upside Youth Mentoring helps young people feel brighter and more loved every day. Through dedicated volunteer mentoring, they provide meaningful support to at-risk youth when they need it most. This proven early intervention builds resilience and hope, one connection at a time.

Marilyn has been a volunteer mentor for a young woman since 2022. To support fundraising , Saxe Coburg supports the annual Upside Cup, where each sponsored boat funds a mentoring match for a young person for 12 months.
